flashplayer problem on installation

hello
i just installed the opera web browser and while attempting to install the macromedia flash player plugin from adobe i get the message NSIS error launching installer ..
the file i got was install_flash_player.exe file version 9.0.47.0 which i got from the adobe site, redirected from opera as soon as the flash player was needed.
is ther an alternative site i could get it ? or yet any other way to install it?
thanx. I ve been noticing that other stuff wont install as well like the installation of jet audio basic 7 ..can this be a general problem? like of the install wizard?
