Lol. I suspect that's not the best method of speeding up your computer. I think it may cause some undesirable side effects

Well i imagine that a slow computer can be attributed to a bottleneck in the default software clock speeds. But I don't think this is the norm, and usually most computers are bottlenecked by their CPU and hardware bus speeds (not to mention the worst bottleneck of all, your harddrive). If it even does change the software clock speeds, this would likely cause syncronization issues with software written that relies on these clock speeds to be something reasonable.

I'm always using the following programs to speed up my pc:

> SmartDefrag
> CCleaner
> TuneXP
> RegSeeker

And the best of it is: they're all free !!!

Apart from Smartdefrag and CCleaner, i use PCmaid, have been using it since two yrs...has worked wonders in optimizing(lol i mean clearing) for better performance
