windows xp misses runtime files

Expand Post »
in windows 98 if you go to start-->run, and type in sfc, you will get a tool to restore the runtime files needed to run the windows, but you can not run sfc in windows xp. you will have to open the command prompt, and then type sfc /scannow then you will be able to get the files back. you will be asked to give the xp cd rom.
