I have a Dell Studio 1535 laptop. The system function key combinations and the media control keys (along top of keyboard) don't work at all. I can't control up and down volumn nor stopping of a dvd. Oddly, FN + END button combination will eject the DVD. Your help is greatly appreciated.

did you try contacting dell support? Sometimes it could be a hardware fault.
