I just bought a new MObo, power supply 530w total power with a peak of 630W. I do not have a CRT monitor. I have a chipset that can display video on the mobo. Everything works fine. When I plug my Nvidia GT240 in the PCI-E and connect the monitor to it I get a blank screen saying "check cable" "going to sleep" when the card is connected neither the mobo VGA or GT 240 VGA works. The Graphics card has both a VGA and DVI output. I don't have the adapter to use the DVI so I use the VGA. Why will it not work? Why can't I get a signal? The fan runs on the card.

When I remove the video card and reconnect the monitor to the Mobo, all is well!! PLease help!!

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit professional. I have 2G of Ram and a 2.5ghz Quad core

Thanks:-)
