When I try open links in outlook i get the following error message -

'Contact your system administrator due to restrictions in effect on my computer'

This is a Windows 7 pc running outlook 2010 and using an Exchange 2010 mailbox.

any ideas? Thanks

Is this computer a member of a domain? Sounds like you either have a local policy or domain group policy being applied to your system.

yes, all the other coomputers that have outlook in this domain do not have this problem

It could be a local security policy. It could still be a group policy object that is linked to an OU that has your computer as a member.

You can run gpresult on your PC, but you still need someone that has knowledge about the policies in the domain to help you troubleshoot.

Can you create a new local user, log in with that local account and create a new Outlook profile just to verify if this issue applies to multiple users on the same box. Or have a coworker log into your machine with their domain account.
