how to watch tv on pc

Expand Post »
Anyone tried (or does now) watch TV on a PC ? I have Dish Network (satallite TV) for my TV but was wondering how to channel it to my PC.

Re: how to watch tv on pc

Don't have it set up myself but you will need some type of TV tuner in your PC - I've seen internal cards and external USB devices available. It'll have a connector on it to attach a coax cable.

Laser's correct... you'll need to have a TV Tuner card or any USB TV tuners to be able to watch TV on your computer. I have one at home myself and I only use it to transfer videos from my camcorder to my computer and then burn it onto a DVD. There are tons of TV Tuner cards out in the market and I'm sure that you can find one that suits your needs..
