Windows Update stuck at 0%; no error code

Expand Post »
Hey guys,

Quick question; I'm using Window Vista Basic and I'm encountering a new problem with Windows Update.

Windows Update informs me that I have 2 new updates. I instructed it to download and install the update. Windows update proceeds to start the download, but is stuck at 0% with no error code. What gives?

I have TeaTimer, AVG and Zonealarm running in the background.

Help please!

Your firewall is probably blocking access. Try disabling Zonealarm, or adding an exception for Windows Update.

Re: Windows Update stuck at 0%; no error code

I tried adding an exception to ZoneAlarm but it still didn't work!

I suspect this is not a firewall issue as I've been using ZoneAlarm for quite awhile now.
