Try starting Internet Explorer without any add-ons.
From the Desktop click Start/run then type iexplore.exe -extoff

this will determine if the problem is an IE problem or some add-on that is crashing.

hi, i'm having about the same problem here...
i can only open the internet explorer without add-ons...
now wat's the problem? thanks

Re: Internet explorer problem

Did you already tried the above possible solution that demenace posted?

try to find out if there is a add-on that is preventing to start
IE in normal mode.

1. disable all the (especially the non verified) add-ons restart IE and test it.
if this works now fine, then you shoud now try to find out
one by one till you get the one which is preventing to start IE in
normal mode. you should uninstall this add-on with the same
software that installed this add on.

2. or your computer might be infected, do a spyware/virusscan.

3. if this not works : you may want to try doing a system
restore to a time when you could use the IE while not in safe mode.

Re: Internet explorer problem

If you ask me, I would just get Firefox. It is better than IE in so many ways its not even funny. Firefox is open source, so chances of problems with ad-ons are minimal. Don't use chrome yet because it may be fast but it is still in it's BETA stage.

Re: Internet explorer problem

Its open finely without add-ons. But i couldn't understand what your actual problem. Without add-ons you can only browse. You can not see videos or any animations. If its crashing then, It may be your system problem. I suggest to use firefox or opera. Try these.
