unable to load another os on my dell laptop originally loaded with vista

please i need ur help. i have a dell laptop with vista os. but i want to load server 2003 on it, so i can use it for practical purposes.
i have an installaation cd for the vista which i can always use back to load when am through.
please help on hw to load this as it is given me an error- unable to locate hard drive

That is because your laptop has a SATA hard drive. Sata hard drives did not exist when server 2003 was made. Unless you can find a SATA driver that you can put on a floppy or cd, you will never get that to install.

IIf you dont want all this mess, get Ubuntu Server.

Other option is to wait for Server 2008, which obviously won't have this issue, and of course x64 option
