scanner not working with windows 7

i have a conoscan lide 20 scanner
i have windows 7 but my scanner is not working

Did you download the Vista driver? Should work.

Otherwise basic scanner functions should work with standard Twain drivers. Does the system recognise the presence of your scanner?

Had enough trouble getting LIDE50 to work (finally sorted using a work-around with LIDE70 drivers), so hate to imagine the issues getting LIDE20 to work. I do know the Vista drivers for LIDE50 didn't work properly on Win7.

As a point, may be worth updating the scanner, even to a newer 2nd hand model (LIDE100 - 200) - can pick up on eBay rather cheaply and will see you through a few more yrs :)
