Problem burning data DVDs with pics/videos/movies etc. .. Please help

Dear fellow techies!

From the last few days, I am facing a major problem while burning my data DVDs. Everytime, the burn process fails in the beginning (around 1%). I use Nero basically but have tried CDBurnerXp and default windows burning options.

I have also tried different optical medias but the problem persists. I have wasted a lots of DVDs now to this problem.

I am sharing the error report of the recent failed process when I was trying to burn certain AVI files on the DVD. I also faced problems when I tried burning my digicam pics and videos.

Please help me...

Dear fellow techies!

Says you have a hardware error in the error log. Try swapping in a known good DVD burner and see if it works.

Hi,
Get a DVD cleaning disc, the same as you may use on you DVD connected to the TV and clean the laser in your drive with that.

Hi
I'm using a pioneer dvd-rw dvr-109 ata,and a pioneer dvd-rw dvr-110
also ata, about three years, and no problems with them.
And my burning program is the ImgBurn.
ImgBurn supports all the Windows OS's
- Windows 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista,
2008 and 7 (including all the 64-bit versions).
If you use Wine, it should also run on Linux
and other x86-based Unixes.
