XP Problem Due to Vista?

Expand Post »
I have two hard drives 250 gb w/ XP installed & 80 GB w/ Vista installed.
I would change boot order of HD's to startup in XP or Vista.
This was working great until today
Today after loading Vista, shutting down, then rebooting to XP - my XP HD would not boot (normal or safe mode)
It was stuck in a boot cycle.

After multiple attempts XP finally booted up, however my start tab at bottom (I can't access system restore due to this), as well as taskbar bar are missing. All network connections are missing. I can open my docs & view pics & files, but I cannot move them to cdrw to back up.

If I reboot into Vista, I can see XP HD, but I am denied access.

I restarted XP & now a CHKDSK is in process.

I've seen post about NTFS permission, but not sure if this is same solution.

I've tried spinrite as well, but it shows no mechanical HD problem, and XP problem still exists.

I could use all the help - I'll order PIZZA for reply with correct solution.
Thanks
