what is the model and serial of the laptop, dont download anything you do't trust you will have to return here ands post on the spyware section to remove the nasties.

hi have you tried running the vista beta tool on www.crucial.com it will tell you what components in your laptop are compatiable and which ones arent. It can also point you in the direction of hard to find drivers. Just a thought and I know it might be a silly question but have you tried your manfactures website
