Memory problems with my new mp3 player

Expand Post »
hello everyone
i have a new generic stick mp3 player with 1G memory. After mistakingly formatting it in FAT32 and then back into FAT its memory shrunk from 1G to 500M. Its a generic piece with no manufacurer or serial number so there is no one to turn to. Does anyone have any idea what could be the matter and how it can be fixed? when I check under SYS as to the firmware version it shows a bar code with the number 3.0.43.0001. there is also an option of firmware upgrade (what does that mean?). I thank all you good souls who can send me some info... Yairubin@yahoo.com.
