under system profiler i see that my usb is recognizing the rca is plugged in but it doesnt pop up on my mac desktop,i dont know how to get to it otherwise to drop songs into it,my mac is a 10.3,any help????

You might give XNJB a try. (GOOGLE it) It works for me on my Mac running Panther.
