I'm Having Problems With Dreamweaver.

Expand Post »
I'm trying to share files connecting to a remote site but I get the error... I'm basically just choosing "test connection" and getting this error.

An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host.
Dreamweaver could not connect because the server is down or not accepting connections.

I'm using my free web space from my ISP, Charter. My personal account has been created, and I have an ftp set up.

My problem is trying to connect to the remote server. If I can't connect to the remote server that tutorial doesn't help me

Re: I'm Having Problems With Dreamweaver.

I bet charter has a "web tool" for uploading your site. I honestly use FTP to get and put all my files. A lot of pros use HomeSite to upload and manage their sites (in conjuction with DW)

I love DW but have troubles with my dial up connection and DW acting up. DWMX also released a patch to "help stabilize FTP transfers and connections".
