Expand Post »
It always says "this website is listed under 'such and such'" and requests an admin username and password to bypass it.

Why should we help you do something that could possibly be illegal for you? Sorry, but we don't usually try to help people access their porn sites from their workplace or school or whatever. And if it's a website that's "legitimate", get the network admins to unblock it.

I have the same problem. I'm not trying to get to any bad sites, it just won't let me go to many places, wikipedia for instance. And the person in charge of the network does not come to my school.

Did you read the whole thread? I was asking a legitimate question, so you have no right to shut me up. Go clean your mouth with some detergent as well.

"Legitimate" Really?

You've posted a request to be provided information on how to subvert a web filter.

This implies you are using a network controlled by someone else. Now you either have hijacked that access, or you are a user that has been provided access for a specific reason. In either case the owner of the network has decided to control where you go on their network.

Requesting information on how to subvert that is a clear attempt to violate the terms of use the owner of the network has set forth.

If you have a legitimate need, seek the appropriate organizational channels to have the offending blocks removed.

In several other threads on this site it has been suggested that the community here is unwilling to assist you or any other party in subverting legitimate safeguards placed by administrators of the network upon which you are a guest.

If you really need to get around the filter, get up pack your things travel to your domicile and log on to the network YOU own and YOU pay for...

Otherwise seek assistance at any one of the hacker sites... just have your virus definitions up to date, and your firewall set up to protect you...

Oh and by the way your administrator probably already blocked those sites... so you;ll have to head home to continue your research...

ok. everyone quit being gay about it. hes probably just trying to get on to a music site, like me. schools are real strict about it, and some people want to listen to music while doing their work so they dont fall asleep. So if your going to take the time to try to answer the question dont be a douche about it.
