Question about printer

I am trying to connect my latitude laptop with my HP 450 mobile printer?
Can i do this with a usb cable or do i need a parallel cable as well? I got this printer without any cables. Thanks for any help, i am pretty computer illiterate.

If the printer does not have wifi built in then you must use a USB cable which can be purchase at a local store or online.

If it has wifi then it is already online and you can install it as a network printer.

Some printers can be figured either way, but not both.
USB will be faster.

If you connect it using the USB port for the first time, installation is automatic since USB is a Plug and Play technology, it actually sets itself up with little or no help from you.Get the USB cable from a local store.
