Problem setting up FTP server on Windows 2000

Expand Post »
Hi guys,

I tried setting up FTP server on windows 2000 and test it on localhost. It worked. But then, when I tried remotely... It's connected, and stop for a while, no prompting of username whatsoever, and then connection closed by remote host.
Is there anything I miss???
I've already share the inetpub/ftproot folder... and nothing helps

Thanx for any input,

Tank

Did you try it from another computer in your local network or from the internet? If you want others to access your FTP-server from the internet, then you must open Port 21 in your Router/ Firewall.
