i've been having a problem with my connection recently. since the past two weeks or so i've been having really lousy internet(slow as a snail).although the browsing speed has been ok. the download/upload and streaming speed sucks like hell.
right so help me pinpoint the cause of this either
1) someones leeching my internet
2) the internet is slow because of spyware/adware yadda yadda yadda
3) the ISP is faulty
well thats all i can think of :
SYSTEM SPECS ==> i use a dell latitude D630 intel core2duo t7500 @ 2.20ghz 2.20ghz,4 gigs ram, 32bit OS and windows 7 professional and ubuntu 10.04 dual boot
INTERNET DEVICE=> my internet device is a mobile broadband USB modem (the company is MTS and the device is called mblaze) (http://www.mtsindia.in/mblaze/)----> my ISP's site
they're supposed to
=>provide fastest downloads at a speed upto 3.1Mbps and
=>fastest uploads at a speed of upto 1.8Mbps .
THE PROBLEM-
this is my third month using it the first two months i got great speed i could watch videos without streaming i mean like it would buffer that quickly. but this month its been lame , like it downloads files at 9kb/s or 10kb/s when during the first 2 months i got about 100 to 180kb/s download rate of files. And the browser firefox freezes for like 5 seconds and then responds every 5 minutes or so the whole system freezes sometimes too for 5-10 seconds. the internet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting sometimes and the msn messenger keeps disconnecting too

i've recently used piriforms ccleaner to clear everything and defraggler too to defragment and i use avira free to scan the system
i ran a spybot S&D check too it found a few which it fixed/removed i guess
i ran a malwarebites check recently with nothing found
