I have a couple computers behind a router here at home and I've noticed lately that when I'm downloading a game through Steam, I'll hit my peak ISP download speed (approx. 1.3MB/s) but the network connection between my router and my PC drops out every 10-15 minutes (for just the one computer, not all). I can transfer files between the computers at home at the router's native speed (12MB/s) without any troubles. Does this sound like a Steam issue or just a freak occurrence?

i assume you power-cycled your router, broadband modem and PC?

it sounds like something to do with your broadband modem or the WAN port on your router. check the settings and also make sure neither is getting to hot. i have found that excessive can make network equipment do some funky unexplainable things.
