Broadband Speed

Expand Post »
Ok, I need some help. Recently we've just upgraded our Sprint DSL from a 1.5 Mps connection to a 3.0 Mps connection. We've got three computers in our house, all hooked up through a router. Two computers are getting the correct speeds, averaging around 2790 Kps on speed tests, but this computer is way behind, getting only 690 Kps. Is there any settings I should tweak in Windows to get my optimal speed? Please tell me if you need any more information and I will gladly give it to you. Thanks!

Re: Broadband Speed

What type of setup is this computer running? Were other systems downloading things while the test was being run on this system? What OS was it? Are there firewalls installed? If so, which one?

Those are a few to start with
