setting up a wireless network without using a modem

Here's my delima. I would like to set up my business to a wireless network without using a cable modem. We currently do not wish to have any internet. What we would like to do is to have our printer located in another room and have access to it via wireless router through our desktop. I purchased a linksys broadband wireless router and a wireless G print server. Every time I go to use the provided software it wants to connect through the internet. We also have a lap top that we would like to use for this as well. How can I set up all of this without using the internet? Please help so I don't have to call the Geek Squad. I believe it has something to do with changing settings through our web browser. Please help.

Contact Cisco/Linksys and have them either advise you where (or, how to access) directions on how to setup a stand-alone network from the materials that came with the unit, or if they would just walk you through it.
