Wake up on LAN

Expand Post »
Hi,I recently established an ICS connection for my brother in order to enter Internet through LAN by my computer, but when it is off he is unable to use my connection. So
1)is it necessary for my pc to be on for ics ?
2)If yes, how can we turn the Wake up on LAN feature(I already connected the internal cable to motherboard but I don't know the rest)for my brother in order to turn on my pc when I am asleep or away.
3)If there is any way to use ICS when the source pc is off?

Re: Wake up on LAN

i think thet only way is to keep your computer turned on 24/7...

or if you have a bit of cash to spend, go for a router, that way you can both connect to the internet regardless of whether if the other guy is turned on.
