I have 2 routers. An Asus RT-N65U and a D-link dir-605L. I know the dir-605L is WDS capable. But can I make it a repeater of the Asus router? Or will dlink routers only serve as repeaters to other D-link primary routers?

Do you mean repeater (for the WiFi access point), or bridge (use the router as a switch/bridge and not do routing)?

Hi, if the ASUS has a Repeater/AP/Router switch on the back of the unit or in the software then you should be able to use it with pretty much any Wi-Fi Router. I use an ASUS RT-N12 in repeater mode connected to my Netgear 3700 router and it works OK - bit flaky and a bit slow but it works.
