ADSL Connection goes down.

Right! Here I go. I have a DLINK DI-624+ Wireless Broadband Router. A DLINK DWL G520+ Wireless Card. A Globespan Virata ADSL Ethernet/USB Modem/Router. I can get it all to work happily. But almost daily, mainly when I switch off the PC the internet connection does not come back up when reconnecting. I therefore have to unplug the modem from the Wireless router and then attach directly to the PC using the onboard ethernet card. Wait for the LAN connection then disconnect and re-attach it back to the wireless router, the whole thing then works. Whether I ma connected to the internet or not the Globespan modem has a status of NO DEVICE. This is very annoying, where does the problem lie, the DLINK equipment or the Modem. Any ideas guys...

I would guess that your router is configured incorrectly, I can't say for sure though, or what could be wrong. Anyone else out there have a good suggestion for him?

I got that response from the supplier of the modem. I am waiting to hear from them as to what the solution might be. What should my settings be for each piece of equipment. Any help would be appreciated.

Well I would suggest you read over your manual. I have never personally configured the router you mentioned so I couldn't tell you what settings may need adjusting. Have you tried DLink's support website (http://support.dlink.com/)? Thier knowledge base might have the answer to your problems.

I had to return my PC this week, because the fan wasn't working. They gave a full replacement. I have configured the network and it seems to be working (touch wood), I think my problem lay inthe modem. It looks like the pc recognised the modem only when it was connected using the usb cable, not when it was using the ethernet cat5 cable.

not sure I understand is your modem usb or cat 5?
if it is both you might have to disable the usb and only use cat5.

you are using 2 routers why?
install a hub and you should be all set.
check this page not sure which router you have.

you can do this but the way you have it setup the routers are getting confused.

The modem is USB and Cat5. I have two routers because I bought the modem after buying the wireless broadband hub and it was the only asdl modem left in the shop and I was desperate to get it all setup so I bought it.

I have the DI-624+ which I think is the UK version.

Touch Wood! It all appears to be working since I replaced the PC and managed to configure the modem using cat5 without the need for the USB. Which is something I couldn't achieve before. I did this by using one of the LAN ports as well as the WAN port. Not sure if that was the reason though. Many, many thanks for all your help!!!!
