Router can't connect to internet.

Hi all,
My first post here, hope you can help me out.
I have a Verizon DSL connection that actually (!) works just fine. I use a Westell 6100 modem provided by the ISP. I recently got a ZyXEL wireless router to which I plan to hook up a Notebook and an Ibook. I have successfully connected the Notebook to the router. Here is what I pulled from the prompt with the router connected to the computer:

IP-address: 192.168.1.33
NetMask: 255.255.255.0
Standard-gateway: 192.168.1.1

4 sent, 4 received, Lost 0

4 sent, 4 received, Lost 0

Everything looks fine and dandy, but I can't get the router to connect to the internet. Why? Anyone? It's really annoying being so close to making it work... As I'm not all that computer savvy I'm not sure what other info to provide here to receive helpful answers. Tell me what you need in order to get me on the way and I'll try my best to get it for you! Thanks.

Have you configured the router yet? You should make sure it's IP address settings are exactly the same as what your ISP gave you, and in some place in the configuration page, it should show you the status of your WAN: If it's got an IP address, sending and recieving, etc., etc..
