Help, how can we use our printer freely

Expand Post »
There are six desktops in my office, and one printer, I wonder how can I make every PCs access to the printer freely, because all PCs are in a huge network, and IP address is dynamic.

There is one way I know it works sometime.
1. sharing the printer, fix IP address of the PC connected to the printer, and set password.

Is there any new idea, pls help me, thanks a lot!

Re: Help, how can we use our printer freely

I would suggest setting your router up with static DHCP. You enter a MAC address and IP address into the DHCP section of your router config page, and then your computers will always end up with the same IP address.
