Help Configuring router?

I just bought a Linksys WRT54G broadband router. I haven't configured on myself before and i was wondering what i needed to do. I have it all hooked up and everything but cannot connect to the internet on the computer it is wired to. I need to fix that problem can somebody help me?

Check your cables in the back of the router and desktop make sure that they are configured right modem into router, desktop into router.

everything is connected right. I can get to the configuation screen. what do i need to do from there?

Just use the fast startup screen and it walks you through the basic setup. Reading that you're already setup you should just skip until you get to configuring all PCs/notebooks to work with the router and just follow the instructions.
