VPN 2000 Uable to access other devices once connected

Hi i'm not sure if this is the right place for posting this question basically I am trying to setup VPN on a Widows 2000 Server - I have enabled VPN via Routing and Remote access and enabled a test account with permission to dial in and have enabled port forwarding for the VPN port 1723 – When I try to dial in from the outside it connects via VPN fine but I am only able to ping the VPN server if I try to ping for example the router's IP it times out –

The server only has one network card installed do i need to fit an additional network card in the server.

you may need to enable split tunneling
