web server not working?

Expand Post »
I have a PII 450 webserver with windows xp on it. long story short I volunteered at a local computer camp and another volunteer showed me how to set up my webserver. Unfortunatly it was on my laptop. It worked at the university campus but when I brought it home and hooked it up it doesn't bring up my site it instead brings up the Linksys (not sure of the model I'll post when i get home) login page. I am using apache to serve the site and dyndns.org to give me an address. Dyndns.org will assign me an IP address based on what the ISP gives me. How do I go about getting my site to work again? He told me to use port 880 thats what he used on his server. Please help asap. thanks

Re: web server not working?

I doubt that your web server is serving up your Linksys page. The Linksys serves this up itself. You need to have your Linksys forward it's port 80 traffic to your web server. And I believe you have to disable web administration on your Linksys if you have that enabled.
