So I just bought a laptop a few days ago and it says it comes with a 802.11b/g Wireless LAN. There's a switch in the front to turn it on and either way if it is on or off my laptop does not detect it.

If I go to Device Manager>Network Adapters it is not shown, it only shows my ethernet one.

I have gone through the add hardware wizard, but it does not detect any hardware other than what is already working.

Anybody know whats wrong?

I don't know if this will help or not, but it's worth a shot...many laptops have a setting in the bios that will allow you to enable or disable the wireless card...if it is disabled in the bios then it could be that the switch on the front will be rendered useless...Try checking in the bios to see if this is the case...

Ohh i am using a lenovo 3000 N200 by the way.
