name-services.com DNS problems/ Need to switch domain hosting

Expand Post »
Hello,

I have a client who's web site is (was) hosted by the same company that controls the DNS from that name. His yearly hosting ran out, and he's trying to called them to pay again, but they won't return a phone call, even to GET $$$. He has been trying to call them 5+ times a day for 2+ weeks with no resolution. Is it possible to go above the company's head and register the domain with a different hosting company and have them start passing the new DNS information? Basically, legal domain hijacking?

The domain is www.stellar-road.com and the hosting company is name-services.com

Any help is awesome, as we are both pulling out hair out.
