The Dell dimension 4500, according to the specs I've seen, uses an i845E chipset and a Prntium 4 processor. That chipset allows for temperature monitoring via sensors, and shutdown control in BIOS setup. Those features may or may not be present in your system. "Name brand' manufacturers often omit such features, as they do not cater to the overclockers and enthusiasts among us!
