ATi Drivers

I dont know where to post this, and video cards seems most reasonable.

When I go to install my 4.12Beta ATI drivers on windows XP Pro i get a message saying
"INF ERROR"
Video Driver not found

I hit ok and it says try install your VGA adapter drivers.

can anyone help me here?

I have a 9600XT, and a G90fb 19inch CRT monitor by Viewsonic.

Might I suggest non-beta drivers? They're marked beta for a reason! (i.e. not finished and thus potentially very buggy)

Otherwise, did you uninstall the old drivers from add/remove programs beforehand?

any idea then when the 4.12 are coming out, they keep saying very soon, but then its weeks.
