Convert Laptop Monitor to Desktop Monitor

Expand Post »
I have a ze4430us laptop I purchased last year that doesn't work anymore, and was wondering how I go about converting the monitor to a basic desktop monitor. I've read that I need a controller or something to that matter, but have no idea which to get or what I'm doing. If anybody here has done this before or has any helpful links it would be greatly appreciated.
