Connect Laptop To LCD TV

I try to connect my NEC(Window XP) laptop to LCD TV(LG) with VGA cable but there are no signal at LCD TV. Help me to solve this matter.

You need to sync the laptop and the TV together. On your laptop there should be a button that switches between display modes (one of the 'Fn' keys).
