Dark LCD on IBM thinkpad 390X

Expand Post »
I have a IBM Thinkpad 390X and the display is very dark. If I connect to another monitor everything works fine. I believe that the computer has been dropped by the previous owner. I'm thinking that the problem is either the CCFl tube or the inverter. That being said I have a few questions.

1.)Where can I purchase the CCFL tube, and were can I find out how to install it?
2.)Also where can I purchase the inverter and LCD to motherboard cables and were can I find out how to install them?

Any input an or help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Dark LCD on IBM thinkpad 390X

Can I ask why there are already at least four threads about this issue?
Doesn't anyone read the existing threads before starting a new one?
Wouldn't we better all post in just one and close the others or something? Then people wouldn't have to check them all four.
Just an idea...
