I'm new to this board, but I thought i'd give it a shot, as it's probably been answered before. Lately, my battery to my IBM Thinkpad T-40 has been acting up..and then the screen just started going dim. It's not completely black, just extremely dim. I've tried everything from adjusting brightness, etc. I thought it was a battery problem, but now even when my laptop is plugged in, almost every 5 minutes, the screen will dim down. Any thoughts? will i need a new screen and how much would that cost in parts and labor? i'm a college student and my laptop is my life. thanks! :sad:
