How to pick a new Video Card

I was planning on upgrading my desktops video card... so my question is how do i pick the right one for my desktop? what do i look for and such.. thanks

It depends upon what you want to do. For under $100USD you can get a very good card from nVidia or AMD with 512MB to 1GB of video RAM.

Aside from what you want to do it also depends on your motherboard, if that needs changes too.

It depends on your whole tower and what it contains. You need to make sure your MB is compatible for starters, then you need to check if your PSU has enough power output for the graphics card and also you need proper cooling depending on the power of the card itself. There are many more things to be take be taken into account nut these are the aforementioned ones are the basics and most important.
