graphics card problem in OS10.3

I finally got around to installing Panther on my G4 today. I knew from previous experience that the graphics card for my second monitor would poop out once Panther was installed, but I downloaded the ATI update 4.5.7 thinking the problem would be fixed. Not! My second monitor is gray and pixely, just like I feared it would be. It's an ATI RAGE128 pro card. Does anyone know what to do to fix this besides buying a new card?
