ATI Radeon 9550 videocard and monitor won't synchronize

Expand Post »
Every time I attempt to play a game, it will start normally and run for a little while, but suddenly, and without fail, either the message "Sync. Out of Range" comes up on my screen, or the monitor simply shuts off and the power light blinks. I have already set the refresh rates of my video card and monitor to the same setting, and I am sure that my monitor supports the screen resolution it is set to. I have also downloaded all the latest drivers for my graphics card software from the ATI website. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
