Armada 1700 lcd partial display

Expand Post »
The screen on my Armada 1700 266 only displays on one half of the screen.
If you tweek the top a little, the other half will display, shimmer or produce verticel lines.
Time for a new screen or is something loose inside the LCD?
No other problems with the laptop.

Re: Armada 1700 lcd partial display

It may be that the ribbon that connects the screen to the video connector is either loose or damaged. If it is loose, then try to find a quick guide on opening up your laptop, and reattaching it. (Unless you can figure it out yourself of course) If it is busted, then it may be cheaper or more cost-effective to just by another "old" laptop in replacement.
