Sony Vaio Laptop Blank Monitor

Shalom, I was recently vaccuming and cleaning my lap top and took off all the access doors on the bottom. When I powered the machine up, the screen was black. Is there some sort of a reset or something I need to do ... short of purchasing a new one. Thank you so much

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this could be caused by static--opening up the computer will do this.

And also, by opening it up, you just invalidated your warranty. ;)
