extended desktop

Hi
Just moved jobs an have Toshiba Sattelite Pro 6100.
Has anyone any ideas how I can set up extended desktop please?

just plug in an extra monitor, right click on desktop, click properties, go to settings tab, select monitor 2, check the box that says extend my windows desktop.

Hi
Tried that no option on the Properties / Settings Tab. Pressed 'Advanced' and hit the nView tab. Here I get the option to use multiple monitors. Unfortunately options are Horizontal (screen spread over 2 monitors, Vertical or Clone.
I'm trying to use one monitor to e-mail and then drag other applications to the other one. This worked OK on my HP machine.
Any ideas?

horizontal sounds like it would work. do you have the nvidia control panel to use?
