The Green System Light stays on and Clicks

Expand Post »
I have a Quantex Machine (Company went out of bus.) My Green System Light blinks (Short) constantly and makes a Clicking sound.

I saw that my fan on the power supply was moving very slowly so, I got a new power supply for it. installed it the fans work as should. However,
I still get that Green System light that blinks and clicks all the time.

Any ideas on what might be the problem?
I am thinking Mother board...

Thanks,

Morgan

Re: The Green System Light stays on and Clicks

I feel that the power supply is trying to start up, detects the short, and then shuts down. This cycle will be repeated forever, thus you see the blinking LED. Try disconnecting one thing at a time from the power supply: HD, CD-ROM drive, floppy, and see if there is any change.
