CPU usage - Computer restarting

Expand Post »
I would first like to point out that I'm a idiot ( ) when it comes to fixing anything computerised.

Now, I'll get to the point. My computer is slightly old... slightly as in England is a small part of the UK. I'm getting a new one... soon.

But in the meantime, my computer is having problems with restarting. I think that it's something to do with the CPU. It's high and every time that it hits 100% but computer screen goes black and restarts. Usually when I'm using a few programs at once. Limewire, Winamp etc...

I have tried to decrease the amount of files and everything and unused software - it still restarts. I've cleaned all the dust with compressed air - still restarts.

What can I do to stop this, or make it considerably better and my computer healthier?

Or must I just... wait until I get a sparkly new PC...

Thanks.
