Expand Post »
Hi all,
I have bought a newcomputer with motherboard ASUS A8NSLI
http://www.electronicsoutfitter.com/store/A8NSLI.html
However I have one question:
from the back of my computer I hae a cable with two male jacks. On one is written mic and on the other is written mic. I have never seen this before. If I open chasis warranty void so I don't know where these cables are connected in the mother board.
Can you explain me the purpose of these two cables with male jacks (like ones from speakers).
Thanks

Re: new computer

I dont think those are from the mobo. I have an Asus A8N SLI Deluxe and mine doesnt have those two. However, the case that I bought has them and they are hooked to the top of the case where I can plug speakers and mic into. I havent found out what good these do because you cannot hook them up to the mobo, only to the back where you normally plug in speakers and mics. It seems like that particular mobo doesnt support something like that.
