i have 1024 mb ram but it shows up as 1.00 gb (1000 mb). All computers do this. Its a difference of bits vs bytes i belive, similar to why a 40 gb hard drive shows up as around 38 gb. Nothing is wrong with your system and there is nothing you can do if that is what you were wondering.

If you have onboard video, the video will use your RAM, PCI video cards have their own cache.
